Kemurungan kembali dibincangkan di dalam penerbitan akhbar pasca perintah kawalan pergerakan (PKP) yang telah dilakukan oleh kerajaan Malaysia ketika berhadapan dengan pandemik Covid-19. Impak kawalan pergerakan ini menyebabkan berlakunya keretakan rumah tangga. Antara punca berlakunya keretakan rumah tangga adalah kerana kemurungan pasangan. Pendekatan pengubatan Nabi SAW atau al-Tibb al-Nabawi menggunakan konsep psikoterapi islam adalah kaedah yang dapat diaplikasikan untuk merawat gejala kemurungan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji amalan psikoterapi islam dalam merawat gejala kemurungan di kalangan alumni Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. Kajian ini berbentuk kuantitatif dengan menggunakan set soalan kaji selidik sebanyak 38 soalan. Fokus kajian ini dihadkan kepada wanita muslimah, seramai 56 orang wanita yang telah menjadi alumni. Hasil kajian mendapati hampir 75% responden mengalami gejala kemurungan. Antara kesan yang dapat dikumpulkan adalah wanita-wanita ini mengalami serangan keresahan (anxiety attack), memilih untuk menyendiri (seclusion), merasakan diri mereka tidak dihargai, dan mempunyai dorongan untuk mencederakan diri (suicidal). Hasil kajian menunjukkan lebih daripada 60% responden yang mengalami gejala kesihatan minda ini mempunyai amalan tersendiri yang diamalkan ketika berhadapan dengan kemurungan. Kepentingan kajian ini adalah untuk menilai keberkesanan kaedah pengubatan psikoterapi islam sebagai rawatan komplimentari yang dapat menyembuhkan gejala kemurungan di kalangan wanita muslimah.
Issues regarding mental depression was discussed again in the press publications especially after Movement Control Order (MCO) that has been carried out by Malaysian government in dealing with Covid-19 pandemic. The impact of this movement control order stirred chaos among household. Among the causes of its occurrence for marital problems is due to spouse’s depression. Among the approach for treatment are as to follow the sunnah of Prophet SAW or al-Tibb al-Nabawi that uses the concept of Islamic Psychotherapy which is a method that can be applied to treat the symptoms of depression. This study aims to examine the practice of Islamic Psychotherapy in treating symptoms Depression especially among alumni of Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia. This study used Quantitative methods which mean by using a survey question set of 38 questions. The basic limitation on this study is focused to Muslimah, which is total of 56 women who have become alumnus. The results of the study found that almost 75% of respondents experienced symptoms depression among the effects that can be collected are these women experiencing an anxiety attack, choosing to be alone (seclusion), feel themselves unappreciated, and have the urge to self harm (suicidal). The results of the study show that more than 60% respondents who experience mental health symptoms have their own methods which is practiced when dealing with depression. The importance of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Islamic Psychotherapy as a treatment method as a complementary treatment that will be a cure for the symptoms of depression among Muslimah.
