Abstract

The grammatical (syntaxs) significance is closely related to the Islamic Hukm so that it influences the determination of Shari'a Hukm. This relationship stands on the basis that the knowledge of Nahu is one of the most important sources in the field of Usul Fiqh as profound knowledge of the knowledge of grammar is the main requirement of ijtihad members in the determination of Shari'a Hukm. Hence, the aim of the article is to study the grammatical significance that influences the determination of Shari'a Hukm descriptively based on the important books which discuss properly relation between Arabic grammar and Shari'ah Hukm, Al-Kaukab Al-Durri Fi Takhrij Al-Furu’ Al-Fiqhiyah, written by Imam Asnawi and Athar Al-Dilalah Al-Nahwiyyah Wal-Lughawiyah Fi Istinbat Al-Ahkam written by Imam Al-Saadi. One of the most important conclusions reached by the researcher is that the significance of huruf has a clear effect in the determination of Shari'a Hukm.
