New Model of Teaching Al-Quran Using Iqra’ Method

Abstract

Kajian ini memfokuskan tentang model baru pengajaran al-Quran menggunakan kaedah Iqra’. Objektif kajian ini ialah untuk mengenalpasti faktor penguasaan kaedah Iqra’ murid tahun satu sekolah-sekolah rendah daerah Muar. Selain itu, kajian ini juga dijalankan untuk mengenalpasti matlamat kaedah Iqra’ dalam setiap bab yang ada dalam buku Iqra’ dan manfaatnya kepada murid. Pada akhirnya kajian ini cuba mengenalpasti model pengajaran baru yang sesuai dan relevan dalam meningkatkan penguasaan kaedah Iqra’. Responden kajian ini terdiri daripada guru-guru Pendidikan Islam dalam daerah Muar seramai 100 orang. Dalam kajian ini, penyelidik menggunakan soal selidik sebagai instrumen kajian di samping kajian perpustakaan, temu bual dan pemerhatian. Penyelidik menggunakan statistik deskriptif untuk mendapatkan nilai min dan peratus melalui perisian Statistical Package For The Social Sciences (SPSS) versi 20.0. Dapatan analisis mendapati bahawa penguasaan murid dalam kaedah Iqra’ berada pada tahap lemah dan perlu dipertingkatkan lagi. Kajian mendapati bahawa terdapat beberapa faktor yang menyumbang kepada keadaan itu. Oleh yang demikian, penyelidik telah mencadangkan satu model baru yang lebih tersusun dan mudah menggunakan kaedah Iqra’ bagi meningkatkan penguasaan murid dalam pembelajaran al-Quran seterusnya dapat membantu hasrat Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia melahirkan murid yang dapat mengkhatamkan al-Quran sebelum melangkah ke sekolah menengah.

This study focuses on a new model of teaching the Qur’an using the method of Iqra ’. The objective of this study is to identify the factors of mastery of Iqra 'method of first year students of primary schools in Muar district. In addition, this study was also conducted to identify the purpose of the method of Iqra 'in each chapter in the Book of Iqra' and its benefits to students. In the end this study tries to identify new teaching models that are suitable and relevant in improving the mastery of Iqra ’method. The respondents of this study consisted of 100 Islamic Education Teachers in the district of Muar. In this study, researchers used questionnaires as research instruments in addition to library research, interviews and observations. Researchers used descriptive statistics to obtain mean and percentage values ??through Statistical Package For The Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0. The findings of the analysis found that the students 'mastery in the method of Iqra' is at a weak level and needs to be further improved. The study found that there are several factors that contribute to the condition. Therefore, researchers have proposed a new model that is more structured and easy to use Iqra 'method to improve students' mastery of the Qur'an which in turn can help the Ministry of Education Malaysia to produce students who can complete the Qur'an before going to secondary school.
