Abstract

Konsep kebahagiaan dalam tamadun sesuatu Ummah dapat dilihat dalam pelbagai perspektif dan dimensi. Pemahaman yang jelas dan tepat berkenaan konsep ini diperlukan oleh sesebuah negara untuk mencapai kemajuan yang menyeluruh sama ada dari aspek rohani mahupun fizikal. Idea berkaitan konsep ini pula dilihat mendapat perhatian pelbagai golongan masyarakat antaranya para sasterawan. Antara tokoh sasterawan Islam terkemuka dalam bahasa Arab ialah Mu?taf? ??diq al-R?fi`?y. Objektif artikel ini ialah mengkaji idea dan pemikiran Mu?taf? ??diq al-R?fi`?y berkaitan konsep kebahagiaan melalui pemahaman terhadap hakikat perayaan yang diutarakan oleh beliau. Daripada aspek metodologi, artikel ini berteraskan kajian kepustakaan serta analisis deskriptif yang bersumberkan makalah penulisan Mu?taf? ??diq al-R?fi`?y dalam karyanya Wa?yu al-Qalam. Analisis dijalankan terhadap aspek sintaksis, leksikal serta retorik karya tersebut. Analisis ini dilakukan untuk memahami konsep tersebut serta mengenalpasti tema-tema yang berkaitan. Kajian ini mendapati bahawa tokoh tersebut berjaya mengetengahkan pemikiran beliau berkaitan konsep ini menerusi kepelbagaian struktur ayat yang mempunyai kekuatan khususnya dari aspek retorik serta sintaksis itu sendiri. Pemahaman terhadap pemikiran sasterawan ini merupakan satu nilai tambah dalam usaha mewujudkan kebahagiaan dalam ummah.

The concept of happiness in the civilization of an Ummah can be seen in various perspectives and dimensions. A clear and accurate understanding of this concept is needed by a country to achieve a comprehensive progress both spiritually and physically. The idea of this concept have received the attention of various groups of society including literary figures. Among the Islamic literary figures in Arabic language is Mu?taf? ??diq al-R?fi`?y. The objective of this article is to examine the ideas and thoughts of Mu?taf? ??diq al-R?fi`?y related to the concept of happiness through the understanding of the reality of the feasts presented by him. From the methodological aspect, this article is based on a library study and a descriptive analysis of an article by Mu?taf? ??diq al-R?fi`?y in his work Wa?yu al-Qalam. The analysis is carried out on the syntactic, lexical and rhetorical aspects of the work. This analysis is perfomed to understand the concept as well as to identify the relevant themes. This study found that the figure managed to highlight his thoughts related to this concept through the variety of sentence structures that have particular strength in terms of rhetoric and syntax itself. The understanding of this figure’s thinking is considered as an added value in the effort to create happiness in Ummah.
